Welcome to Bodega Cove.

These cabins were built from old growth cedar, back in the '60s, when the property was called Madrona Lodge.

 

We began to bring them back to their original glory and beyond in 2016, and reopened the property in 2018. Under the watchful eye of Galiano's own craftsman, John Parfitt, we lifted the cabins up and rebuilt them; restoring the walls, sub-roof and beams while putting in entirely new floors, bathrooms and kitchens. We went through a whole lot of sandpaper, and sanders for that matter.

We opened up the front wall to open up the view and opened up the roof with big skylights to let the natural light in. Our friend Gavin came up from Palm Springs to do all the tile work in the bathrooms and install the heated natural marble floors.

We leaned on our friends Bocci in Vancouver for lighting. Our pal Brent hopped over from Bowen Island to help with the interiors, build custom furniture and targeted lighting for the bathrooms and kitchen.
