Small Island, Big Fun!

The famous Bodega Ridge is right at our doorstep or we can direct you to several other breathtaking spots. Some local favourites include Pebble Beach, Mt.Galiano, Dionisio Park and Montague Provincial Park.

Yes, we have included dining as an activity. The next most important step to planning your visit to Galiano, after reserving your ferry is reserving your table at Pilgrimme. Chef Jesse McCleery and his partner Leanne Lalonde have created something very special on Montague Road, located conveniently just up the road from the famous provincial park. Voted #3 Best New Restaurant in Canada by En Route Magazine in 2015, the menu is constantly changing with the ebb and flow of the finest local ingredients, both farmed and foraged (often by Jesse himself). Pilgrimme is notoriously difficult to get into so please be sure to reserve well in advance of your stay.

Galiano island features some great trails and lots of challenging roads to explore, you can bring your bike on the ferry and cycle along the road to Bodega in about 60 minutes, from here there are numerous cross-country trails and places to see. Jesse can arrange to show you some of his favourite trails and roads!

Our serene shoreline is a haven for marine life and water lovers and Gulf Island Kayaking is the best way to enjoy it. The paddle to the provincial park on Wallace Island is a guest favourite. For larger groups, Ben and his son Chessi at Gulf Island Kayaking will even bring the kayaks to you.

Guided Trips

Want to find out all the best secret spots! Our friend Rachelle from Tour Galiano is just the person to show you. She offers private tours of Galiano including a delicious lunch and transportation!

The waters around Galiano are plentiful and nobody knows the area better than our friend Ryan McQuillan. With his guidance our guests have caught everything from crab to cod, all year round. Call ahead to book a trip with him and experience the west coast like no other.

Three beaches lie within a kilometre of the resort including Dionisio Point Provincial Park, or what locals call "Coon Bay". Bring your camera -in addition to the sandy beach and tidal pools, you'll find strange and beautiful sandstone formations.

Galiano features a unique and challenging 9 hole Golf Course just a 20 minute drive from Bodega.
