Bodega is nestled on 22 acres of pristine coastal country ideal for year-round recreation. We are situated at the base of the famous Bodega Ridge, with magnificent views of Trincomali channel, the surrounding Gulf Islands and the Vancouver Island mountains.
Being positioned in the rain shadow of the Vancouver Island mountains, Galiano enjoys significantly less rain than the mainland and most of coastal BC.
Bodega Ridge is a Tourism British Columbia Approved Accommodation and is featured in the Lonely Planet as a recommended destination. Being at the north end of the island, Bodega is free of traffic and well away from the noise of the ferries that can be heard in other areas of the Gulf Islands.
The gently sloping terrain of the property has extensive landscaping, ponds, native plants, and rock sculpture. It is bright and sunny with spectacular meadows, arbutus trees, orchids and wildflowers. There are numerous productive grape vines and fruit trees including fig, pear, plum, peach, apple, kiwi and cherry. The lodge, dining hall and cabins are positioned to take advantage of the amazing sunsets that Bodega Ridge offers.
Within one kilometre of Bodega you can enjoy three different beach accesses. For the adventure minded traveller, we direct trail access to the famous Bodega Ridge hike. You host, Jesse, will be happy to help you plan your activities.
Let a local share with you all that Galiano has to offer. We can direct you to kayak outfitters, boat rentals, moped rentals, not to mention where the best spots are to enjoy a frosty beer or a glass of fine wine. Galiano has a 9 hole golf course, excellent cycling, stunning hikes, world-class diving and excellent fishing. At the time of check in or anytime during your stay, please do not hesitate to ask us how you can make the most out of your time on the island.
